Sports arena

Sports elanggang Beijing University of Technology is a covered sports arena located on the campus of Beijing University of Technology in Chaoyang District, Beijing, China. Built starting June 30, 2005 and completed on October 8, 2007, 7500 amounted to capacity audiences.

At the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, this gym is where the game badminton and rhythmic gymnastics. After the Olympics finished, the gym is planned to be a training ground for China badminton team and also as a center of sports and recreational activities for students and the local community.

2008 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (Olympic games to 29) is an international sports event held in Beijing, People's Republic of China, from August 8 (except football which started on August 6) to August 24 2008, with the opening ceremony which was held at 08:08:08 (8 tonight through 8 minutes and 8 seconds - the number 8 is associated with prosperity in culture Tionghoa). Some events, including soccer, sailing, and horseback riding were held in cities other Chinese. With the implementation of the equestrian events in Hong Kong, this marks the second time the same edition of Olympic Games hosted by two National Olympic Committees.

Official Logo of the game, titled "Dancing Beijing", was formed based on calligraphic character "jing", referring to the host city of Beijing. Beijing 2008 mascots are the five Fuwa (simplified:福娃; pinyin: Fuwa; it literally means "good luck dolls"), each describing one color on the Olympic rings. 2008 Olympic motto is "One World, One Dream". Beijing Olympic Games consists of 302 games from 28 sports, just one more game than the 2004 Athens Olympics.

During 16 days of NBC shows in the United States, has become a television program the most sought after, with a total of 211 million viewers according to Nielsen Media Research survey, 2 million more than the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, the previous record holder. [2]
