hawking technology


Space colonization, also called residential space, is a permanent human habitat planning outside Earth. He is one of the major topics in science fiction. Some designers group at NASA and others have examined the possibility that various kinds of schemes.

Supporting life
For humans can live permanently outside the Earth, the habitat must maintain an environment that is similar to the Earth, for instance homeostasis. Habitat must contain a non-human species - for example, microorganisms and plant seeds.

The relationship between organisms, their habitats and non-Earth environment are:

* Organisms and their habitat fully isolated from the environment (eg, including artificial biosphere, biosphere 2, life-support systems)
* Merngubah environment in order to be a friendly habitat for life (a process called terraforming)
* Change the organism to become more in tune with the environment, the habitat becomes united organism (See also: genetic engineering, transhumanisme, cyborg)

Self-replication is an additional option, because it can provide an increasing number of colonies, thus reducing costs and dependency on Earth. In 2002, anthropologist Dr. John Moore estimates that a population of 150-189 would be enough for normal reproductive generations 60-80 approximately equal to 2000 years.

A minimum population of two women can do for the human embryo is available from the Earth.
