Digital watches

1.8-inch OLED screen is used in digital watches are marketed by Gubrak.com Indonesia. This product is equipped with MP4 player (MP4 player), has 7 EQ modes to maximize the sound of music, voice recording, display images in JPEG or GIF format, and watching movies.
Organic Light-emitting diode (OLED) or organic light diode is a semiconductor as a light-emitting layer made of organic. OLED technology is used in elektroluminensi, as in the application screen or censor. This technology is known for flexible ketipisannya reaching less than 1 mm.

Background

OLED technology invented by Eastman Kodak Company scientists, Dr. Ching W. Tang in 1979. Research in Indonesia on this technology began in 2005. OLED technology was created as a aternatif generation surpasses the previous screen, liquid crystal display (Liquid Crystal Display or LCD). OLED to be developed and applied to the device display technology.

OLED Technology

OLED is an important tool in elektroluminensi technology. These technologies have the basic concept of the light generated by the device due to a given electric field. OLED technology was developed to obtain a broad view, flexible, inexpensive and can be used as an efficient screen for various display purposes.

Number of colors of light emitted by the OLED device evolved from one color to multi-colors. This phenomenon is obtained by varying the voltage provided to the OLED device so that the device has the prospect to become an alternative devices such as flat screen display technology based on liquid crystals.

Layer structure

OLED structure consists of layers made of glass-indium tin oxide that serves as the positive electrode or anode, organic layers of aromatic diamine with a thickness of 750 nm light-emitting layer made of metal complex compounds such as 8-hydroxyquinoline aluminum, and the negative electrode layer or cathode made of magnesium alloy and silver with atomic ratio of 10:1. Construction of a whole layer of no more than 500 nm, the same meaning thin OLED with a sheet of paper.
[edit] Design tool

An important part of the OLED device is an electrode layer and a thin layer of organic molecules as light-emitting which were both developed overlapping. Organic layer can dimendapkan with a relatively simple technique of layering rotate (spin coating) while the electrode layer using a technique dimendapkan evaporation (evaporation). Electrode layer is made of metal or semi-transparent transparent Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) or aluminum (Al). Transparent nature allows light emitted from the structure of an optimal exit devices.
