Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) is a community college located in Bandung. ITB was established on March 2, 1959. Current status of ITB is the State University (State Owned Legal Entity).

ITB main campus, in the northern city of Bandung, and other parts of campus, has a 770,000 m² area.

Student dormitories, faculty housing, and administrative headquarters is not located on the main campus but still within easy reach to go. Facilities are available on campus including the bookstore, post office, canteen, bank, and clinics.

In addition to lecture rooms, laboratories, workshops and studios, ITB has an art gallery that is soemardja Gallery, sports facilities, and a Campus Center. Near the campus there is also Salman Mosque for worship and religious activities of Muslims in the ITB. To support the implementation of academic and research activities, there are facilities supporting the academic, dintaranya Central Library (the collection of approximately 150,000 books and 1000 journal titles), Sports Facility Sasana Budaya Ganesha, Language Center, Center for computer services (ComLabs) and Bosscha Observatory ( one of the features of Expertise Astronomy Group FMIPA), located 11 kilometers north of Bandung.

Rector of ITB is currently Professor. Djoko Santoso (the election result in December 2004 - January 2005) for the period 2005-2010.
