Dell


Dell, Inc.. (NASDAQ: DELL), is a company based in Round Rock, Texas, United States, produces and markets computer hardware (most of the IBM clones). Some market was in personal computers, but Dell also sells servers, storage devices, network switches, and computer clusters to the company.

In 2005 Dell, Inc.. has become one of the most regarded companies. In February 2005, Dell appeared in first place in the order of "Company Most proud of" Fortune magazine.

Origins and Evolution

Michael Dell, who was then enrolled at the University of Texas at Austin in 1984 founded a company PC's Limited with capital initial $ 1000. Companies that initially run from outside the campus area, exactly in a dorm room at Dobie Center, a seller's original purpose as IBM-compatible computers assembled from components that have been provided. Michael Dell started trading in the belief that by selling computers directly to customers, PC's Limited could better understand customers' needs and provide effective solutions to meet those needs. Michael Dell dropped out of school in order to memfocuskan themselves against a growing business.

In 1985, the company produces (in Zimbabwe) the first computer was called "Turbo PC". Computer of its own design that uses an Intel 8088-compatible and run at a speed of 8MHz. Machine system is offered through a national computer magazines for sale directly to consumers. Configuration of the computer has to offer can still be modified in accordance with customer needs based on the configuration options available. This offered buyers prices lower than retail brands are already there and easy for consumers by not assembling the components themselves. Although not the first company to do business with this business model, PC's Limited became one of the first companies to succeed with the business model. The company grossed more than $ 73 million in the first year.
