1.5 Terabyte hard disk for DesktopBarracuda 7200.11, is the 11th generation of Seagate hard drive for desktop PCs, this is a target for mainstream computers, workstations, and PC games high-end. Seagate said it will achieve results with high capacity which is what is called the technology "perpendicular magnetic recording",
vertical magnetic bits on the end surface of the disk is used to increase storage capacity.

A 3.5-inch hard disk storage on four platter and has a serial ATA interface of 3 gigabits per second, can reach 120 megabytes per second for fastest boot time for the beginning of open applications and access data. This hard drive model is also available in 160 GB and 1 TB.

To accelerate the growth of the notebook market, Seagate introduced the 7200.4 and 5400.6. Rotation speed reaches 7200 RPM and 5400 RPM. Both has a 2.5 inch Serial ATA interface of 3 GB per second. Harddisk also have protection against vibration technology that puts the head in the off position on the disk when the sensed a shock.

Three hard drive has a 5 year warranty. Barracuda 7200.11 Seagate and rival Hitachi and Samsung busy to produce equipment with high capacity for the PC, as a game to offset the demand
hard disk market. Hitachi, for example, recently announced the second generation of 1TB hard drive that has been produced.

Most of the increased demand for the use of a PC for editing, storing video, photos and music. All PC makers, like Dell and Hewlett-Packard, focus on selling computer entertainment.
